NC State will lose five players to graduation after next season, creating the exact opposite roster challenge they faced this year. To replenish the roster, we expect significant activity from both the 2027 recruiting class and the upcoming transfer 2027 portal window. The 2027 class remains very early in the recruiting cycle. Most top prospects are still uncommitted, with many not planning official visits or decisions until later in their senior year. NC State currently has zero verbal commitments in the 2027 class.

Here’s a quick status update on the players listed on PackWBB.com’s recruiting list.

High-Priority / Top-Tier Targets

  • Sydney Savoury (SG, 5’11”, Belleville HS, MI, Top-5 national): No commitment. NC State has extended an offer and is actively recruiting her. She remains one of the most sought-after guards in the class (strong interest from Michigan, MSU, LSU, Kentucky, etc.). No new rumors tying her specifically to NC State in the last couple weeks.
  • Ivanna Wilson Manyacka (G, 6’2”, Bullis School, MD, #2 overall): No commitment. Elite two-way wing with offers from UConn, South Carolina, LSU, Iowa, Duke, and others. No public NC State offer or heavy rumor activity reported recently (she is listed as a target in some circles, but not as prominently as others). Still very much open.
  • De’Andra Minor (CG, 6’0”, Grind Prep, OK): No commitment. NC State offered in February 2026 and remains a listed target. She’s Oklahoma’s top 2027 prospect and is drawing power-conference interest. No recent commitment rumors.
  • Jayla Forbes (C, 6’7”, AL/FL): No commitment. 5-star post with major interest (recent unofficial visit to Texas). No specific NC State updates or rumors.
  • Kaleena Smith (PG, 5’6”, Ontario Christian, CA, #1 national): No commitment. Consensus No. 1 prospect; has taken officials to Louisville, Cal, Syracuse, LSU and is setting up more (UConn, Baylor, South Carolina, USC). No NC State-specific news or offer highlighted in recent coverage.

Other Notable Targets

  • Jordyn Palmer (W, 6’1”, Westtown School, PA, ESPN #6): No commitment (she has publicly said she plans to decide next spring). NC State has offered and lists her as a high-priority target. Strong interest from multiple programs, including South Carolina.
  • Qandace Samuels (SF, 6’1”, Bishop McNamara HS, MD, ESPN #14): No commitment. (Note: This is not the same player as the UConn transfer Qadence Samuels, who signed with NC State last year.) No recent NC State-specific rumors or commitment news.
  • Ryan Carter (CG, 6’0”, Friends’ Central School, PA, ESPN #12): No commitment. Rising interest across the board (including North Carolina, Duke, Indiana, Maryland), but no firm NC State rumor or offer confirmation in the latest reports.
  • Jezelle Banks (PG, DE, Top national guard), Abuna Ruop (C, 6’9”, Norfolk Christian, VA), Brookeslee Colvin (PG, 5’8”, Coeur d’Alene HS, ID), Jazman Bailey (PG, 5’9”, Lake Ridge HS, TX), etc.: All remain uncommitted.

New Targets

  • Celsy Colombo (6-4 F/PF, St. Mary’s HS, Lancaster, NY) – Offered May 2025. Versatile forward with good size and developing skills; listed on both 247 and WBB Blog boards.
  • Corinne Lomax (6-0 W, Tabor Academy, Marion, MA / hometown Watertown, CT) – Offered January 2026. Rising wing/forward drawing Power 4 interest; noted as a fast-rising prospect.
  • Bella Owumi (5-11 SG, Tilton School, NH / hometown Lynn, MA) – Offered June 2025. Perimeter guard with scoring ability.
  • Avery Arije (6-0 SG, Crestwood Prep, Toronto, ON) – 95-rated prospect on 247Sports; Canadian guard with strong interest from NC State and others.
  • Saniyah Murray (6-4 PF, Harrison Central, Gulfport, MS) – 95-rated forward on 247Sports; adds another big-body option in the frontcourt mix.

Overall NC State 2027 Recruiting Snapshot: The Wolfpack is in the mix with offers out to a solid group of your listed targets (especially Savoury, Minor, Palmer, Banks, and a few others). They have a handful of official prospects tracked, but no verbal pledges yet. Recruiting activity has been steady but quiet in the last 1–2 weeks with no major announcements, official visit spikes, or crystal-ball flips tied to NC State for this class. The 2027 cycle is still very fluid, and many of these elite prospects won’t narrow things down significantly until summer/fall AAU or their junior season.
