Contact period is live. Will Pack coaches be at Bullis this month?
Ivanna Wilson Manyacka is the kind of prospect that makes a staff sit up a little straighter. The 6-foot-2 guard from Bullis School in Maryland is sitting at No. 2 in the 2027 class for a reason. She’s long, she can score from everywhere, and she plays like the game is personal.NC State offered because she checks every box Wes Moore usually cares about: size on the perimeter, toughness, and production that isn’t empty. As a junior she put up 20.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals and almost 2 blocks a night while leading Bullis to a Maryland private school title. She’s already been a star for USA Basketball, winning gold and picking up MVP hardware at the U16 AmeriCup.
What she would bring to Raleigh is simple: a player who can be the best athlete on the floor most nights. She can handle it, she can post up smaller guards, and she crashes the glass like a forward. Defensively she’s a problem because of her length and motor. You can see her sliding between the 2 and the 3 and making life miserable for ACC wings.
The fit feels natural. NC State has always liked versatile pieces who can guard multiple spots and still produce on offense. Wilson Manyacka would give them a ready-made mismatch and a kid who already knows how to win at a high level. She’s not a project. She’s a “how do we get her here” type of player. Long shot? Still uncommitted and holds the NC State offer, but recent visit calendars list LSU, Notre Dame, Duke, Texas, UNC, UCLA, Maryland, and UConn – not Raleigh. She’s a long shot unless the staff gets on the visit list.
Known competition: The main names are LSU, Notre Dame, Duke, UConn, South Carolina, North Carolina, UCLA and Maryland. She has visits lined up with several of those this fall. That’s the company NC State is keeping.
