As the 2026-27 women’s college basketball season approaches, scouting attention is already shifting toward the loaded 2027 WNBA Draft class. On August 11, 2026, prospect scout @roemelloreyes (Roe) dropped his first mock draft of the year, a full two-round projection complete with updated database lists and statistical links for 2027 prospects.
From an NC State perspective, the big takeaways jump off the board immediately. Two key pieces of the Wolfpack’s core, forward Khamil Pierre and guard Zoe Brooks, land in the first 16 picks. Pierre, the 6-2 forward out of Phoenix (via Vanderbilt), arrives in Roe’s mock at No. 11 with a clear identity: relentless interior presence. After transferring to NC State ahead of the 2025-26 season, she delivered a career year that put her firmly on the national radar.
In 32 games (31 starts) as a junior, Pierre averaged 16.7 points and a career-high 11.9 rebounds per game while shooting 52.5% from the field. Zoe Brooks: The Dynamic Guard Poised for More

The 5-10 guard from Plainfield, New Jersey, has been a cornerstone of the program since arriving as a highly touted McDonald’s All-American in the class of 2023. In her junior season (2025-26), Brooks posted career highs in several categories: approximately 16.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game across 31 starts, while earning back-to-back All-ACC First Team honors. She has a history of big moments, career-high 37 points in an overtime road win at Virginia, previous ACC Most Improved Player recognition, and consistent two-way contributions. Her handle, creativity off the dribble, and scoring bursts inside the arc make her a high-usage engine, even if three-point consistency has been a work in progress.
Brooks returns for her senior year as a veteran leader on a young roster. At about 21.4 years old in the projection, she has the experience of multiple NCAA Tournament runs and the statistical foundation to climb draft boards with another strong campaign. Landing with the Aces in this mock would put her in a championship-caliber environment that values versatile guards who can slash and facilitate.
