NC State Women’s Basketball Has Plenty to Watch During the July Live Period

Raleigh, N.C. The July live evaluation period is rolling right now, and NC State women’s basketball coach Wes Moore and his staff are out there checking out some of the top 2027 prospects. This is one of those stretches where they can watch games in person and get a real feel for how these kids play, even though they can’t pull them aside for direct recruiting talks.

NC State has been pretty aggressive with offers in this class. Our recent PackWBB watch list ranked prospects by how likely they are to end up at NC State, and a bunch of those names are also getting big national attention. Here are PackWBB.com’s top 10 from that list who also show up on major recruiting boards.

Corinne Lomax is sitting at No. 1 on the commitment potential list. The 6-foot-0 wing from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts already has an NC State offer from back in January. She’s viewed as a rising Power 4 type prospect with good athleticism and versatility.

Jordyn Palmer comes in at No. 2. The 6-foot-1 wing from Westtown School in Pennsylvania is a consensus top-6 national prospect with 5-star grades. She’s got an NC State offer and has been on the radar of several big programs. She brings scoring, rebounding, and a lot of energy.

Qandace Samuels ranks third on the watch list. The 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-2 wing/guard from Bishop McNamara in Maryland is ranked No. 14 by ESPN. She’s got Power conference offers and is seen as a long, impactful player on both ends.

Brookeslee Colvin sits at No. 5. The 5-foot-8 point guard from Coeur d’Alene High School in Idaho picked up an NC State offer in February. She’s ranked around No. 37 nationally and is viewed as a steady floor general who can shoot and create.

Jazman Bailey comes in at No. 6. The 5-foot-9 point guard from Lake Ridge High School in Texas already has an NC State offer. Ranked No. 42 by ESPN, she’s a quick guard who can score in bunches.

Jordan Speller ranks seventh on the list. The 5-foot-7 point guard from Montverde Academy in Florida is around No. 43 nationally. She’s started setting some official visits recently, including one to Rutgers, and remains uncommitted.

Celsy Colombo is at No. 8. The 6-foot-4 forward/center from St. Mary’s High School in New York has had an NC State offer since May 2025. She’s a physical post who can help with size and rebounding.

Ryan Carter sits at No. 9. The 6-foot-0 combo guard from Friends’ Central School in Pennsylvania is a top-15 national prospect with offers from several Power programs. She brings good size at the guard spot.

Jemini Mitchell rounds out the top 10. The 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-2 combo guard/wing from Legion Prep Academy in Texas is ranked No. 16 by ESPN and has Power conference offers.

Ivanna Wilson Manyacka shows up a little lower on the commitment potential list but is still someone the staff is keeping tabs on after offering her last summer. The 6-foot-2 guard/forward from Bullis School in Maryland is one of the highest-rated kids in the whole class.

If you’re following along this weekend, keep an eye on social media for any posts that catch an NC State coach watching these players in particular. Those kinds of sightings usually pop up pretty quick on Twitter and Instagram during live periods.

These are the kinds of prospects NC State is targeting to keep building depth and stay competitive in the ACC. The live period is giving the staff some good looks, and things should pick up even more once they can start making direct contact again later this summer. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
