Congrats, Zoe!

Big news for the Pack. NC State senior point guard Zoe Brooks just landed on the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Preseason Watch List. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame released the 20-player list Monday, and Brooks is one of five ACC guards recognized for her floor leadership, playmaking, and ball-handling.

Coming off a junior season with career highs across the board (16.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game), Brooks also earned a spot on the All-ACC Preseason Team. She put up 26 double-digit scoring nights, hit a school-record 19 free throws in a 37-point game at Virginia, and cracked the 1,000-point club. She’s a two-time All-ACC First Teamer and the 2025 ACC Most Improved Player who already made the midseason watch list last year.

The Lieberman Award (now in its 28th year) honors the nation’s top point guard in the mold of Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman. The list stays fluid, gets cut to 10 in late February and five in March, with the winner announced at the men’s Final Four. Fan voting opens Friday, Oct. 30.

Wolfpack open the season Nov. 2 vs. Wofford. Congrats again, Zoe. Well deserved!
