This is part of a 25-day series on PackWBB.com leading up to NC State women’s first tip at Reynolds against High Point. Each day gets one talking point. Today is Day 25 and the last day of the series: High Point is a lineup test, not a score test.

Tomorrow is not about the number on the board. It is about who Moore puts out there, who gets the first-team minutes, and who looks ready when the gym is loud.

Who starts with Brooks and Pierre. Who brings the ball up when Brooks sits. Who spaces the floor. Who shares the paint with Pierre. Who talks when a possession dies. Who stays on the floor after a mistake.

The roster had to change after last year. The early writeups are outdated. Michigan is still in the building. The bar did not move. The Pack may open unranked. The frontcourt got shorter. Spacing is a question. The second creator is open. Somebody has to be the third scorer. Brooks has to take the room. The new names have to earn the noise.

None of that gets settled by a final score against High Point. It starts to show in the lineup.

Reynolds will be loud. The first tip of the year is here. Watch the groups. That is the whole series landing on one night.

Quote of the week

“I think Zoe coming back definitely played a big part. I’m a really genuine person, so I really want to get drafted with Zoe, share that experience. I think that’s super cool. Also, loyalty is really big. They were a school that picked me up when I was going through a lot of hard stuff, and they believed in me and they gave me an opportunity, and I’ll forever just be thankful for that. So where I could have left and could go make more money, or be on what people say is a bigger stage, I just wanted to stay where I was valued, and that was State.”
