RALEIGH — With summer workouts wrapping up and the official roster still marked “not yet finalized” on GoPack.com, PackWBB has been piecing together how the 2026-27 Wolfpack might look based on Coach Wes Moore’s latest media availability, player comments, and the current scholarship picture.

Moore has been characteristically direct. He is not satisfied with last season’s fourth-place ACC finish and second-round NCAA exit. “We have raised the bar to such a level that I’m not really happy being in that neighborhood,” he said. He also made clear the stylistic shift coming: without a true center after Tilda Trygger’s departure, the Pack will “have to play different,” with an emphasis on turning Khamil Pierre and Khady Leye into more consistent 3-point threats so they can better use their athleticism.

Moore further noted that First-Team All-ACC returners Zoe Brooks and Pierre could have earned more NIL money elsewhere but chose to stay and remain program cornerstones. Pierre herself has called this group her favorite team yet. On the freshmen, Moore has already pointed to early promise from Kamora Pruitt (shooting and versatility) and Annsley Trivette (blue-collar physicality).

Official social channels (@PackWomensBball) to showed the team grinding through the final week of summer school. From that foundation, here is PackWBB’s current speculative depth chart for 2026-27.

Speculative Projected Starting Five

G – Zoe Brooks
Senior, 5’10”
The clear engine. Moore continues to build around her leadership and two-way production.

G – Desiree Wooten
Senior, 5’8″
Colorado transfer expected to form a physical, scoring backcourt tandem with Brooks.

G/F – Qadence Samuels
Senior, 6’0″
Experience and length give her the early edge on the wing in our projection.

F – Khamil Pierre
Senior, 6’2″
Anchors everything. Moore wants expanded range from beyond the arc.

F – Khady Leye
Junior, 6’2″
Athletic Auburn transfer Moore has paired with Pierre in comments about perimeter development.

Key competition PackWBB.com is watching: Freshman Kamora Pruitt has drawn consistent positive mentions from Moore for her shooting and positional flexibility. She is the primary challenger for Samuels’ starting G/F spot and could force a fluid rotation early.

Also, expect Destiny Lunan to be the first off the bench and play starter type minutes.

Speculative Full Depth Chart

Guards / Backcourt

  • Starters: Zoe Brooks, Desiree Wooten
  • Rotation candidates: Destiny “Ky’She” Lunan, Adelaide Jernigan, Audrey Ericksen

Wings / Forwards

  • Starters: Qadence Samuels (G/F), Khamil Pierre, Khady Leye
  • Rotation candidates:
    • Kamora Pruitt — high-upside freshman Moore has already flagged for her shooting
    • Maddie Cox — steady veteran depth
    • Annsley Trivette — physical freshman Moore has noted positively
    • Additional frontcourt options if international forward Favour Chinoye (mentioned in earlier reporting) is added later

PackWBB Outlook

Moore’s public comments point to a faster, more spaced-out attack built around the experience of Brooks and Pierre. The portal additions of Wooten and Leye, combined with the development of Pruitt and Trivette, give the staff multiple interchangeable combinations.

Exactly how the minutes settle will depend on fall practice and early results. For now, PackWBB’s expectation is a versatile, smaller roster that can compete near the top of the ACC if the 3-point emphasis and pace Moore has described take hold.

We will continue tracking every update from Reynolds and the official channels as the roster solidifies.
