NC State Women’s Basketball Freshmen and Transfers Arrive This Week: Orientation, Check-In, and First Glimpses in Wolfpack Gear
Raleigh, N.C. — June 22, 2026
This week marks the official start of the 2026 offseason for NC State women’s basketball. Incoming freshmen Kamora Pruitt, Annsley Trivette, and Favour Chinoye (Favour Ossai Chinoye) are checking in on campus as part of the university’s Summer Start program for student-athletes.
With student-athlete expecting move-in on Tuesday, June 23, welcome events on June 24, and first-year orientation sessions June 25–26, the newcomers are getting their first real taste of NC State life. Individual workouts for the entire roster are also ramping up this week, giving coaches their first look at several new faces in NC State practice uniforms.
The 2026 Freshmen Class
The Wolfpack added three promising freshmen for the 2026-27 season:
- Kamora Pruitt (6-2 Forward, Legion Prep Academy – Dallas, TX)
A four-star prospect and one of the top recruits in the class. Pruitt brings elite athleticism, length, and versatility to the frontcourt. - Annsley Trivette (6-3 Forward, Abingdon HS – Abingdon, VA)
A strong, skilled forward who committed early and adds size and rebounding ability. - Favour Chinoye (Forward)
The latest addition to the freshman class, rounding out a talented group of newcomers expected to contribute immediately.
These three will join a program that is actively building depth and talent under head coach Wes Moore.
New Transfers Joining the Pack
In addition to the freshmen, several players who entered via the transfer portal should also be on campus this week and participate in the early individual workouts:
- Sr. Desiree Wooten: G – 5’8″
- Sr. Audrey Ericksen: G – 6’0″
- Jr. Khady Leye: F – 6’2″
This week’s sessions will mark the first time fans hopefully get a glimps (via @PackWomensBball) at these transfers in NC State practice uniforms as they begin integrating with the returning roster and the new freshmen.
Official Roster Still Evolving? Official Update Coming Soon
The current 2026-27 roster on GoPack.com notes that it “is not yet finalized” and “will be updated later in the summer.” With the arrival of the freshmen and the integration of portal transfers like Wooten, Ericksen, and Leye, the full roster picture should become clearer in the coming weeks and months.
Summer Training Kicks Off
While Summer Session II classes officially begin on Monday, June 29, the basketball program is already hard at work. Individual workouts this week focus on:
- Skill development
- Strength & conditioning
- Learning the system
- Building chemistry between returning players, freshmen, and new transfers
These early sessions are crucial as the Wolfpack looks to build momentum heading into the 2026-27 season.
Looking Ahead
NC State enters the summer with a mix of experienced returners and exciting new talent. The combination of high-upside freshmen (Pruitt, Trivette, and Chinoye) and experienced transfers (Wooten, Ericksen, and Leye) gives the program added depth and versatility.
This week’s orientation, move-in, and early workouts represent the first step in what promises to be an important summer for the Wolfpack.
More roster updates, team news, and summer developments are expected in the coming weeks as the full group continues to come together.
