NC State women’s basketball is bringing back a familiar leader. Head coach Wes Moore announced that Brittany Morris will rejoin the staff as an assistant coach after spending last season at Louisville.

Morris previously served as an assistant with the Wolfpack from 2021-25, playing a major role in the program’s run to the 2024 Final Four through standout recruiting and player development. At Louisville, she helped the Cardinals finish 29-8 and reach the Sweet 16.

Moore called the move seamless, saying her experience and knowledge of the program will let the team “hit the court running.”

Morris, a Raleigh native, said she’s thrilled to return to a place that already feels like home. “NC State has always had a special place in my heart,” she shared. “I’m excited to help mentor young women and keep building the championship culture we started here.”

Her return adds proven continuity and passion to a staff aiming to keep NC State among the nation’s elite.
